The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent today to $2.845, the fourth consecutive decrease following an eight-day streak of increases.
The average price has dropped 1.3 cents over the past four days, including a half-cent on Sunday, after rising 7.4 cents during the eight-day streak of increases, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is two-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 8.8 cents higher than one month ago, but 19.1 cents less than one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent today to $2.824, the fourth consecutive decrease following an eight-day streak of increases.
