Thanksgiving meals scheduled

The 10,000 Fearless Movement in the Antelope Valley will serve Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday to area homeless persons. Stop by the Self-Improvement Community Center, 1035 W. Avenue L, in Lancaster at 11 a.m. to receive a ticket for dinner.

The group is collecting donations this evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. of canned and boxed food which will be served on Sunday. Sunday’s event is sponsored by the County of Los Angeles, H.E.L.P.E.R. Foundation (Help Establish Learning Peace Economics Righteousness), and 10,000 Fearless. For details, call (661) 339-8809.

Grace Resource Center, 45134 Sierra Hwy., Palmdale, will serve Thanksgiving dinner at noon Nov. 24.

South Antelope Valley Emergency Services (S.A.V.E.S.) will distribute a Thanksgiving meal on Nov. 22 to clients only. The event is not open to the public at large, but you can sign-up for a Christmas meal—with toys included—by calling them at (661) 267-5191.

On Nov. 23, S.A.V.E.S. will host a free Community Thanksgiving Dinner from noon to 3 p.m. at Lighthouse Fellowship, 39325 10th St. East in Palmdale. “It’s harvest time and all are welcome to come and enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal,” said Patricia Morales, S.A.V.E.S. coordinator.
