A former Palmdale resident has been sentenced to 104 years to life in prison for sexually abusing two young family members and beating a third child.

David Wayne Hoyle, 49, was convicted of 11 felony counts for sexually abusing the two Palmdale girls, ages 7 and 8, and beating a 7-year-old boy, also a family member, between September 2011 and July 2014.

He was found guilty of four felony counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years old or younger; one felony count of sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 years old or younger; and two felony counts each of committing lewd acts on a child, making criminal threats and corporal injury to a child.

Two misdemeanor counts of lewd practices in the presence of a minor, which prosecutors alleged were in the presence of the 7-year-old boy, were dismissed before trial.

Hoyle was arrested in May 2015 and extradited from North Carolina in August of that year. He has remained jailed since then.

At the time of his arrest, Hoyle was on probation for a 2013 misdemeanor domestic violence conviction, according to prosecutors.
