Wynonna Judd and the Big Noise are scheduled to appear at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. Feb. 26.

Wynonna Judd has a legion of fans worldwide, having been part of the successful duo The Judds, performing as a solo act, and now fronting a new band which recently unveiled its first album. The self-titled album features country star Jason Isbell on the song “Thing That I Lean On” and the tune “I Can See Everything,” written by Timothy B. Schmit of the Eagles. Other tracks on the album include songs from musicians Chris Stapleton, Travis Meadows, David Lee Murphy and Julie Miller. Judd’s husband, Cactus Moser, produced the album.

Judd said she decided to form the new band on her husband’s advice, and also touched on her musical influences spanning a 37-year career.

“Blues and bluegrass are the two greatest influences,” she said. “It’s being in the darkness that is so dark that your soul cries to get relief. Because of where I’ve been and the hell I’ve been through and just the primal, guttural cry with which I have shed many a tear over children, death, divorce … I think this record is my musical coming-out-party where I’m just letting everything come to the surface.”

Tickets for the show, which are expected to sell quickly, are $64 and $59 and may be purchased at the LPAC box office, 750 W. Lancaster Blvd., from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. For more details, call (661) 723-5950 or visit www.lpac.org.
