Star Wars film to cause traffic problems

HOLLYWOOD (CNS) – The newest “Star Wars” film will be causing traffic problems long before it hits theaters.

Some streets in Hollywood will begin closing tonight ahead of Saturday’s planned premiere of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” at the Pantages Theatre.

Beginning at 10 p.m. today and continuing until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, Hollywood Boulevard will be closed between Ivar Avenue and Vine Street, and between Vine and Argyle Avenue.

On Saturday, Hollywood Boulevard between Argyle and Gower Street will be closed to westbound traffic from 3 p.m. to midnight, and will be closed to eastbound traffic between Cahuenga Boulevard and Ivar Avenue.

Beginning Friday at 9 p.m. and continuing until Sunday at 9 a.m., Vine Street will be closed between Hollywood Boulevard and Yucca Street. Vine will also be closed between Sunset Boulevard and Yucca Street from 3 p.m. until midnight on Saturday.

The streets will remain open to pedestrians, except for the day of the premiere.
