Inglewood launches summer reading program

The Inglewood Library begins its summer reading program “Read to the Rhythm” June 22, and is open to youth in preschool through high school.

The kick-off for the program will be held June 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Gladys Waddingham Lecture Hall, 101 W. Manchester Blvd. The Crenshaw-Imperial branch will follow with its kick-off family show at 4:30 p.m. at 11141 Crenshaw Blvd.

The reading program runs through Aug. 15, and youth can enjoy free programs such as puppet shows, storytelling, games and crafts.

Young people who register for the reading program can win incentives for books read during the summer.
