The Palmdale Playhouse will host the Palmdale Repertory Theatre’s production of “Little Shop of Horrors” in October.

The popular comedy/horror rock musical will be presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International on Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 17,18, 24 and 25 at 8 p.m. and on Sundays Oct. 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 general admission; $15 students, seniors & military; and $12 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available at www.cityofpalmdale.org/playhouse.

“Little Shop of Horrors” is a comedy horror production that features several popular songs, including the title song, “Skid Row (Downtown),” “Somewhere That’s Green,” and “Suddenly, Seymour.”

“Plant yourself in the theatre for this campy horticultural horror musical, just in time for Halloween!” said Palmdale Recreation Supervisor Annie Pagliaro. “Gawky Seymour Krelborn, looking for a way to save his job in a ramshackle, skid row flower shop, purchases a curious exotic plant hoping it will make business bloom, and it does. There’s just one problem: the little creeper possesses a rapacious appetite for fresh human plasma and it’s mushrooming out of control.”

Audience members are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes to the performances.

The cast list includes:  Seymour Krelborn: Shea Dittman; Audrey: Colleen Hickerson; Mrs. Mushnik: Robin Foy; Orin: Aaron Foley; Audrey II (The Plant): Ralph Williams; Street Urchins (Do-wap girls): Lisa Blacker, Amelia Camacho, Rachel Cregier, Marjorie Green, Melody McClure, Paige Pouncey, Brooke Schweitzer and Miwa Tucker; Mr. Bernstein: Mario Gonzalez; Mrs. Luce: Andy Blacker; Skip Snip: Douglas Burnside; Patrick Martin: Andy Blacker; Customer: Christopher Spangler; Skid Row chorus: Emily Blacker, Andy Blacker, Sarah Burke, Douglas Burnside, Ryan Foss, David Foy, Mario Gonzalez, Dakota Harper, Gabriella Perry, Michael “Mikee” Loria, Matthew Major, Samantha McKim, Hudson Pritchard, Tannen Pritchard, Josh Santoro and Christopher Spangler.
