Four years after Brittany Murphy’s unexpected death, her last film is being released.

The independent thriller “Something Wicked” is going to debut on April 4 in Eugene, Oregon, where the movie was filmed in 2009.

The project, which will first be screened at Eugene’s Regal Valley River Center 15, will then roll out in Regal theaters in Portland and Seattle in the weeks to follow.

“The better we do in theaters, the more cities will be added so we need your help getting the word out,” says a post on the project’s Facebook page. “Stay Wicked!”

“Something Wicked” tells the story of a young couple whose dark past secrets get in the way of their future marital bliss. Murphy co-starred in the project along with John Robinson, Shantel VanSanten and James Patrick Stuart. Murphy’s death in December 2009 delayed the film’s post-production schedule, and it wasn’t completed until December 2012.

Murphy, whose career included “Clueless,” “Girl, Interrupted” and “8 Mile,” died of pneumonia, iron deficiency and multiple drug intoxication at the age of 32.
