The family of 18-year-old Bijan Shoushtari, who was shot and killed last year in a drive-by while riding in a car with friends along Crenshaw Boulevard, will hold a candlelight vigil in Leimert Park Plaza on Aug. 3 at 7 p.m.
A $50,000 reward has been offered for any details about the case. The family intends to use this opportunity to reflect upon and celebrate Shoustari's life and encourage an end to the gun violence epidemic affecting African American youth.
