Good food equals good business

The Healthy Neighborhood Market Network will host a workshop—Healthy Foods, Healthy Businesses—on Sept. 25 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Watts Labor Community Action Committee Phoenix Hall, 10950 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles.

Admission is free for neighborhood market owners and staff, food entrepreneurs, community leaders and students. Registration for the general public is $25.

The program will have Korean and Spanish translators and material available.

The goal of the event is to discuss and train business owners on how to make healthy food options available to the public in underserved communities.

The program is a project of the Los Angeles Food Policy Council, www.goodfoodla.org.
