Kinkisharyo hiring for more than 100 positions

Kinkisharyo, a world leader in railcar manufacturing, is seeking to fill positions for mechanical and electrical quality control inspectors and mechanical and electrical technicians for its operations coming to Palmdale.

The ideal candidates must have a clean background and possess a valid passport as training will be outside of the country. Qualified applicants will be contacted for interviews.

Position overviews:

Mechanical QC Inspector

Responsibilities:

• Performs Quality Control (QC) inspection on parts and sub-assemblies of rail cars.

• Performs visual inspection of parts and equipment to ensure conformance to quality standards and to identify non-conformance where it occurs.

• Performs all work according to engineering drawings, written work procedures, verbal and written instructions.

Job Qualification Requirements

• Must be proficient in the English measurement system and be able to learn the metric system of measurement within a specified period of time

• Knowledge in receiving, part fabrication, meal matching, sub assembly, shell assembly, truck assembly and test, interior and cab, exterior, under-floor and source

• Must have at minimum two years of work experience in a QC Inspection Field.

• Ability to read engineering drawings (blueprints)

• Capable of using measuring instruments including, but not limited to tape measures, calipers and micrometers

• Must be able to work independently and to conduct the final inspection of an entire rail car

• Must be capable of working in an active manufacturing environment within a specified period of time

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening

• Must be willing to travel

Electrical QC Inspector

Responsibilities:

• Performs Quality Control (QC) inspection on parts and sub-assemblies of rail cars.

• Performs visual inspection of parts and equipment to ensure conformance to quality standards and to identify non-conformance where it occurs.

• Performs all work according to engineering drawings, written work procedures, verbal and written instructions

• The QC Inspector must be able to read and interpret all engineering drawings and blueprints, and has a demonstrated proficiency in all inspection phases listed below

Job Qualification Requirements

Mechanical and Electrical Technicians

Overview: Production Supervisor Build, test and inspect passenger light rail cars for final assembly light rail train project. Must read schematics and blueprints. Must be mechanically inclined, familiar with the use of hand tools, digital voltage meters, torque wrenches.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lb., work in tight spaces, climb ladders work in high areas, work in various weather conditions

• Must be able to work overtime including nights and weekends

• Must be flexible to work different shifts, days, including weekends and holidays

Job Qualification Requirements:

• Rail car experience is preferred

• Must have H.S. diploma or GED

• Associates degree in electrical, mechanical, or electronics preferred (3 year minimum experience accepted)
