LOS ANGELES, Calif. — A fire swept through a commercial structure in the Leimert Park neighborhood Tuesday tonight, but no one was injured.

Firefighters were sent to 3312 Leimert Blvd., near Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., at 7:52 p.m., said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Fifty firefighters launched a quick and aggressive attack and knocked down the fire in 18 minutes, Scott said.

An arson squad was sent to investigate the cause of the fire and the Department of Water and Power was called to repair some downed power lines, Scott said.
