Easter offerings

New City Church hosts a free outdoor festival, L.A. Easter Rest at Grand Hope Park from noon to 3 p.m., at West 9th and Hope streets in Downtown L.A. The event includes Easter arts and crafts, face painting, races and games, a bounce house, food and drink and an Easter egg hunt with thousands of eggs. West Angeles Church of God in Christ presents its Easter production, "Revelation of Redemption" at 8 and 11 a.m. in the cathedral, 3045 Crenshaw Blvd., Los Angeles. The program will feature the theater group, the dance ministry and musical choirs. A free mini Easter concert will also be held at 7 p.m. at the North Campus. First AME Church of Los Angeles holds three Easter services--6 a. m., 10 a.m. and noon. The church is located at 2270 S. Harvard Blvd., Los Angeles.

Crenshaw Christian Center holds a resurrection Sunday service and family day beginning at 10 a.m. This will be preceded by intercessory prayer from 9-9:30 a.m. and a praise and worship service from 9:30-10 a.m. There will also be special activities to mark the church's 40th anniversary and the 35th anniversary of Ever Increasing Faith Ministries. Faithful Central Bible Church presents the Resurrection Sunday service "Power in the Garden" at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. at 321 N. Eucalyptus Ave., Inglewood.

City of Refuge Church will hold Easter services at 6 a.m., 9 a.m. and noon at 14527 S. San Pedro St., Gardena.

St. Brigid Catholic Church celebrates regular Mass on Easter at 7 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with a Spanish language service at 8:30 a.m. at 5214 S. Western Ave., Los Angeles.

Second Baptist Church will hold two services--6 a.m. and 11:15 a.m--in celebration of Easter, 2412 Griffith Ave., Los Angeles.
