Jazz/Rock legends Blood, Sweat & Tears bring their classic sound to the Palmdale Amphitheater this Saturday, July 27, as part of the city’s summer concert series.

Founding member Bobby Colomby’s original vision for Blood Sweat & Tears was quite simple: Find the greatest musicians and the rest is easy.

Since then, with Colomby’s guidance, BS&T have established themselves as one of the hottest touring acts in the world. Whether playing the hits that started BS&T’s meteoric rise or complicated Jazz riffs, audiences worldwide show their appreciation with standing ovations.

Over the years, the group has released 11 studio albums, four live and five compilation albums which produced hits such as “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy,” “Spinning Wheel,” “And When I Die,” “God Bless the Child,” “Got to Get You Into My Life,” “Hi-De-Ho,” and “Lucretia MacEvil.” They’ve also garnered awards for two No. 1 albums, a No. 1 single, a Grammy Album of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, the Playboy Reader’s Poll Award, and Recording Industry Association of America certified multi-platinum sales of more than 4,000,000 copies sold.

The band’s current members include David Aldo (vocals), Dave Anderson (bass), Joel Rosenblatt (drums), Teddy Mulet (trumpet/trombone), Glenn McClelland (keyboards/piano), Ken Gioffre (saxophone), Steve Jankowski (trumpet), Jens Wendelboe (trombone) and Dave Gellis (guitar).

Individual concert tickets are $10. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $20, which includes express entry and seating at the front of the stage, ensuring that VIP ticket holders can arrive just before the concert and still get one of the best seats in the house. VIP seating is theater style (first-come, first-served), with chairs provided courtesy of the Antelope Valley Mall.

Tickets are available at www.cityofpalmdale.org/amp and at the recreation and culture office, located at 38260 10th St. East, open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cash, check, Mastercard and Visa are accepted. Tickets will also be available the day of the concerts on a cash-only basis.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Carry-in food, beverages, coolers, alcohol and pets are not permitted. Food, beer and wine will be available for purchase.
