Two performances this Saturday

OW Staff Writer | 8/9/2013, midnight

The Palmdale Playhouse Junior Summer Theatre Camp will present two performances of “Law & Order: Nursery Rhyme Unit” on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th Street East in Palmdale.

“Detective Green and the Punnish Sir have been called in to investigate a crime scene where a Mister Humpty Dumpty has been found shattered and fowl play is suspected,” said Playhouse Theatre Operations Coordinator Debbie Barrientes. “The cast has one hour to solve the crime, about the same time frame as a typical “Law & Order” episode, minus commercials. Can they do it?”

“The yolk’s on you with so many puns and plot twists that you’ll be surprised by the ending,” said Director Jay Berckes. “This play is filled with jokes and gags for the whole family, so come and check out this silly twist on Mother Goose and Law & Order.”

Tickets for “Law & Order: Nursery Rhyme Unit” are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and youth. Tickets may be purchased at www.cityofpalmdale.org/playhouse or at the Palmdale Playhouse box office. For more information, call (661) 267-5684.
