Los Angeles County has banned the parking of cars for sale along more streets in unincorporated communities.

Prohibiting the use of street parking for sales along stretches of Florence-Firestone, East Rancho Dominguez, El Camino Village, Lennox and other unincorporated communities will reduce blight, increase opportunities for small businesses and promote public safety, according to the county.

It also reduces the possibility of customers getting sold unreliable or even dangerous cars without a legitimate vehicle history report that confirms that the car’s title is clean and the odometer reading is accurate.

Streets that have been added to the list include 83rd Street in Florence-Firestone, the south side of 83rd Street between Lou Dillon Avenue and Alameda 85th Street in Florence-Firestone and Butler Avenue in East Rancho Dominguez. The signs will be posted along the block and will indicate that the sale of vehicles along the entire block is prohibited.
