Sen. Curren Price is following up on his Prep for Success workshop for job seekers by hosting a Small Business Prep for Primes forum on Saturday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West Los Angeles College, Fine Arts Complex at 9000 Overland Ave. in  Culver City.

The forum is the second in a series of events designed specifically to increase the employability of Los Angeles residents and to expand the list of qualified job applicants, including contractors, for local employers.

The forum, in partnership with the West Los Angeles College Business Division and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, will feature representatives from the U.S Department of Transportation, California High Speed Rail Authority, Los Angeles Unified School District (Facilities Services Division), Verizon Wireless, AEG, and some of California’s top prime contractors.

“I encourage all small business owners and those interested in starting a business to attend this important event where you will have direct access to experts on a diverse range of business related topics, from financial assistance to grow your business to contracting opportunities at federal, state and local agencies,” said Sen. Price.
