Producer/writer/director and star Tyler Perry has signed Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown, to a recurring role on the Perry Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) comedy, “For Better or Worse.”  This family sitcom is based on the characters introduced by Perry’s movies “Why Did I Get Married?” and “Why Did I Get Married Too?”

Perry, a friend of the Houston family, reportedly made his private jet available to transport Whitney’s body to Newark, N.J. He also spoke at her funeral.

Perry’s actions come as no surprise because of his generous nature and the fact that he’s keeping a lot of Black actresses working, often ignoring the general Hollywood standards of beauty held by Blacks as well as Whites when it comes to hiring Black actresses.

During the well-received interview with Oprah Winfrey on the Oprah Winfrey Network which garnered 3.5 million viewers, the largest number ever for the network, Bobbi Kristina, 19, said she wants to be an entertainer. “I have to carry on the legacy.”

According to People magazine, no details about the role are available, but the show shoots in Atlanta, where all of Perry’s shows are produced and where Bobbi Kristina lives.
