HIV/AIDS activist Conscious performs in a one-woman play, "Getting Unstuck" on World AIDS Day today at the Lillian Theater in Hollywood, 6322 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles. Tickets are $25. A former music manager for the "Queen Latifah Show" and a host of Oxygen's media talk show "She Commerce," Conscious (Merle Soden) presents her second performance of the play, which features her own daughter, Mahlete Soden, portraying Merle's childhood. The production is a multimedia show that tells the story of female-to-female HIV/AIDS transmission, incest, child molestation, living 19 years with the dreaded disease and how one woman overcomes all the odds stacked against her to achieve success in Hollywood.
