Fresh & Easy will be hiring more than 600 people at its grocery stores in California over the next few weeks, the El Segundo-based company announced this week.

“Since 2007, we have opened 184 stores and have created more than 5,000 jobs with comprehensive benefits in the neighborhoods we serve,” said Tim Mason, the company’s chief executive.
In California, entry-level positions start at $10 per hour with health insurance benefits. The company also provides quarterly bonuses of up to 10 percent of earnings, a 401(k) savings plan with matching funds from the company, paid time off and life skills training.
About 200 people were promoted to managerial positions last year, according to the company.
