Inglewood development explored

A community discussion of transit district and transit-oriented development for Inglewood will be held Aug. 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Jazz Gallery located at 122 N. Market St. in downtown.

Hosted by the Coalition for Sustainable Inglewood Development (CSID), this discussion will present a planning process on how to create transit-oriented development districts that reflect what all stakeholders want for the future of Inglewood.

Among the speakers are Michael Dieden of Creative Housing Associates, who will discuss among other subjects the transit-orient development his company completed in South Pasadena; Michael Henderson of the Metropolitan Transit Authority, who works with developers; Tunua Thrash of the West Angeles Community Development Corporation, who will discuss the Crenshaw/ Expo line development the nonprofit is doing; as well as Christie Auri, who represents the Urban Land Institute and will present important facts on how transit projects facilitate economic development and housing opportunities.
