BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.–Rapper/actor T.I.’s wife was charged today with a misdemeanor drug possession count stemming from the couple’s arrest last month in West Hollywood.

Tameka Dianne Cottle, 35, is scheduled to be arraigned Monday at the Beverly Hills courthouse, according to Jane Robison of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

The criminal complaint charges Cottle with a single count of possession of Ecstasy.

On Monday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office decided not to file charges against T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris.

In a charge evaluation worksheet, a prosecutor noted that Harris had already been sentenced earlier this month in Georgia to nearly a year in prison for a federal probation violation stemming from his Sept. 1 arrest on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.

Harris and Cottle were in a luxury car that was stopped by deputies in the 9200 block of Sunset Boulevard about 10:30 p.m. that day for an illegal U-turn and searched after a sheriff’s deputy smelled marijuana, according to the sheriff’s department. The two were released on bail shortly after their arrests.
