The death of any loved one is always sad and difficult to accept. This is particularly true when it is a young and vibrant life that is suddenly shortened by a complex set of medical problems; a young and productive life that was surrounded by a strong and caring family, a throng of devoted friends and neighbors, and an enviable record of accomplishments. Such was the life of Nicholas Andre Williams, born Sept. 4, 1981 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Charles and Kimberly Williams.

Nicholas was a lifelong Catholic who had been very active in St. Brigid Catholic Church’s youth choir and lector ministries and a member of the Knights of Peter Claver, junior division. Upon graduation from high school, Nick, as he was affectionately known, was elected to membership in the National Honor Society and listed in “Who’s Who Among American High School Students, 1999.” His post-secondary education included attendance at Morehouse College in Atlanta and a B.S. degree in Information Technology from the American Intercontinental University. At the time of his passing, Nick was employed as a project manager at Ticketmaster.

Known in his neighborhood as the “go to” guy for computer problems, in his leisure time Nick was an enthusiastic supporter of the Lakers basketball and Jacksonville Jaguars football teams.

Leaving to remember and honor his life are his parents, Kimberly and Charles Williams, his grandmother Maudell Williams, uncle Angelo Williams, aunts Regina Williams and Alyce Williams, many cousins, special friend Keya and numerous close buddies. Nick passed away on June 1, 2009. Services were held Friday, June 12 at Saint Brigid Catholic Church followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
