Miracle Missionary Baptist Church (MBC) is celebrating their 12th annual, Community Day and Juneteenth Jubilee Festival on Saturday, June 14, 2008, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is invited.
Kids, bring your swimwear and have fun at the “Kids Corner,” with face painting, air bouncers, swimming pools and water works to keep the kids refreshed, crafts that can make a Juneteenth Flag, games and more.
Foods like mouth-watering BBQ, watermelon, sandwiches, salads, and ground nuts, will also be available for public enjoyment. For those who may be in the mood for freshly-baked goods, we will have a wonderful assortment of whole cakes available for purchase to take home for the family on Fathers Day.
Vendor booths will be available for sale and vendors will be present at our event, as they will display Fathers Day gifts and artwork both available for purchase.
Adults come indulge in classic recreational activities like playing card games and dominoes. Or, come relax and enjoy our shows of expression as we will have the group Emancipation Proclamation and poetry recite words of expression for your listening pleasure. Come have your car/truck washed while you dine and enjoy popular MC Ricki Jones as he hosts music of praise feauturing the latest hip- hop artists and gospel singers of the community. For adults that like to cut a step, come and join in square dancing and line dancing. The shows start at noon and the event is free and open to the public. MiracleMBC is located at 8315 S.
