Robbery suspects sought

A string of seven robberies, which involved either one or all three of the same suspects, occurred August 8-17 in the Melrose area of Los Angeles.
The incidents took place in the late evening and early monring hours in the residential areas near the restaurant and shopping sections of Melrose Avenue, Santa Monica Boulevard and Beverly Boulevard; between La Cienega Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.
The suspects reportedly approached the victims with handguns, demanding their wallets and purses. Some of the victims were described as waiters and waitresses who were robbed of their cash tips.
The suspects are described as African American males in their 20s, ranging in height from 5 feet 6 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing from 150 to 200 pounds.
