L.A. Mayor to announce new head of fire department
Announcement to be made in Jefferson Park at 9 A.M.
JEFFERSON PARK - Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will announce today his nominee for a new chief of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The announcement is scheduled for 9 A.M. in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles at Fire Station No. 34.
The three finalists are interim Chief Brian Cummings, Assistant Chief Patrick Butler and Deputy Chief Emilie Mack.
The nominee will succeed Millage Peaks, who retired July 10.
