Former Sports Illustrated model

LOS ANGELES, Calif.—"Planet of the Apes'' actress and former Sports Illustrated model Estella Warren was behind bars today for allegedly getting drunk, crashing her Prius into some parked cars, fighting with police, slipping her handcuffs off and running out of the station.

The drunken driving arrest in the 600 block of Harper Ave. was at about 11 p.m. on Monday, Los Angeles Police Officer Rosario Hererra said.

According to various reports from the scene, the 40-year-old actress was booked for several crimes, including felony escape, but Los Angeles police with the Media Relations Section could not immediately confirm that.

Warren reportedly resisted arrest—some accounts had her kicking an officer—at the scene. While being booked, apparently at the Wilshire Station, she slipped out of her handcuffs and ran out a door, though she was soon caught.

The sheriff's Web site showed her still behind bars on $100,000 bail today.

Warren was in the 2001 version of "Planet of the Apes'' and the 2003 film "Kangaroo Jack.'' Her television work includes "That '70s Show'' and "Law & Order.''
