$10,000 reward offered in 2010 Inglewood shooting

LOS ANGELES, Calif.—The Board of Supervisors today offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to whoever fatally shot a 21-year-old Inglewood father in front of his home.
Ira Tyrone Koger was sitting in his car in front of his residence in the 800 block of West Beach Avenue at about 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 25, 2010, preparing to leave for work, when a car pulled up alongside. Someone inside asked what gang Koger was in and then shots were fired. Koger died at the scene.
Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas recommended the reward.
“[Ira] was a loving son, grandson, brother and father to his family, a wonderful friend and very engaged in his community,” Ridley-Thomas said. “Ira was not a gang member and the shock and senseless murder ... has left his family devastated.”
Police described the suspects as three male Hispanics with shaved heads, wearing white T-shirts.
They were driving a stolen four-door white Toyota Camry, which was later recovered near Centinela Park.

Los Angeles police say two suspects have been arrested for the murder of 5-year-old Aaron Shannon, and are being held without bail. Leonard Hall Jr., 21, was taken into custody today (Friday) about at 2:10 a.m. at an apartment in the 200 block of West. 27th Str. Marcus Denson, 18, was arrested Thursday evening by Sheriff’s deputies in the 1100 block of East 83rd Street. Law enforcement officials say both suspects are active gang members.

At about 7:45 p.m. March 19, Simone Walker was walking across Avenue L near the intersection of 32nd Street East when a car being driven east hit her.
The speed limit in the area is 50 mph and a sheriff’s spokesman told the Daily News that the car was likely driving at least that fast.
