Drunken driver held in death of two Walmart employees

Bail raised from $100,000 to $2 million

Lancaster resident Tommie Lee Cole, 24, remained in jail in lieu of $2 million bail on a drunken-driving charge that resulted in the death of two Walmart employees.
Cole, who was arrested Sunday, Jan. 26, has now been charged with two counts of second degree murder, two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, two counts of driving under the influence and causing injury, and two counts of driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 percent or greater and causing injury, according to court records.
Jeffrey Gilstrap, 23, and Beau Fluker, 26, were the victim's of the crash which occurred at 2:30 a.m. after the two finished their work shift. Their vehicle collided with Cole's at the intersection of 20th Street West and Avenue J in Lancaster. Both men died at the scene.
